Previous experiences with airmail has caused us to make this our permanent policy. It is the fastest and most secure shipping method available, and comes with a tracking number to most destinations.
To save money on shipping, we advise forming group orders or ordering with friends and splitting the shipping.
Please note that EMS does not deliver to all locations in the world. For some locations, EMS uses a different carrier that does not have an on-line tracking number. This is the case for the Netherlands, Mexico, Poland, etc. In this case, we will give you a tracking number that normally starts with "CP" instead of the normal "EE", which you can use with your local post office to track your package.

Terms and ConditionsPurchasing from TaoBao is similar to purchasing on E-Bay. Please consider the feedback score of the seller when selecting items to buy. You can view their feedback score even if you cannot read Chinese. See the figure for details on where the feedback score can be found.
Currently we only do buy-it-now, an auction shopping service may be available in the future. The final price must be received in full at least 24 hours before the end of the TaoBao item listing before we place the order. The earlier the payment is received, the more likely we will be able to purchase the item. If we are for whatever reason unable to purchase the item, you will be refunded 100%.
Once your item is purchased off TaoBao, you can either have the item immediately shipped to you, or held in China for up to 30 days. During these 30 days, you can make additional TaoBao purchases and combine them into a single international shipment, as long as the total does not exceed 30kg (66 lbs). We encourage you to make multiple TaoBao purchases and combine them to save significant international shipping costs.
Shipping time: We cannot control how quickly the TaoBao seller ships out the item, but once the item is shipped, it should arrive in our Chinese warehouse in 3-5 business days. Normally, expect 7-10 business days between purchasing the item off TaoBao and preparing the item for International shipping. Shipping to the United States via EMS, UPS and DHL normally takes an additional 5-7 business days.
Customs in many countries randomly inspects packages. Please check their website to make sure the items that you would like to import are legal (the US site is http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/). Certain items like food have a very high possibility of being checked and may delay shipping. We are not responsible for any delay or damage caused by customs inspections. We also cannot be responsible for any import tax or other fees incurred by customs (we will notify you if any such charge is incurred).
The shipping services mentioned above have a weight limit of 30kg (66 lbs). You may be charged an additional fee for over-sized items. Please inquire for the shipping cost of items over 30kg (66 lbs).
We are not responsible for any lost or damaged item. If damaged by seller, we can not be held responsible. If seized or damaged by customs, we are not responsible.
All sales are final, we do not accept any exchange or returns. This is because we are not the manufacture or original TaoBao seller, but rather a shopping service. If you have a problem with the product you receive, we will help you file a complaint to the original TaoBao seller. If the original seller issues any refund, we will pass it along to the customer.
Group Order Policy
To provide people with a bit of an extra hand on shipping and encourage people to work with one another within their community, we're now offering group order discounts. The conditions are as follows:
The order must consist of the same number of items as the base shipping cost to qualify for discount.
For example, US-based group orders must have 24 pieces. European group orders must have 27 pieces. Australian group orders must have 21 pieces. So on and so forth. Items which do not significantly affect shipping (such as but not limited to small jewelry or accessories) do not count towards the total item count.The shipping will be paid based on the unit cost of shipping. The initial payment unit will be removed.

What is a shopping service?
A shopping service is just that -- a service that helps you shop. MG provides a shopping service for TaoBao items, with a focus on Lolita fashion. It is useful because many TaoBao sellers do not ship internationally, or are not willing to combine multiple items into a single international shipment (which is important to save on shipping costs). Using our shopping service, you can purchase any number of items from any number of TaoBao stores, and combine everything into a single international shipment. In addition, TaoBao requires customers to have a Chinese bank account and to pay in CNY currency, which is inconvenient to setup for many of our customers.
How do you use MG's TaoBao Shopping Service?
Using the Mashimaro Girl shopping service is easy! Just send us an e-mail (shop [at] mashimaro-girl [dot] com) with a list of items you want (including URLs) and we will give you a price quote. Once you confirm the price, we will send you a PayPal invoice. We do support other forms of payment, but PayPal is easiest. Our shopping service fee is 15%. To save you shipping costs, we allow you to combine multiple items from any number of stores into a single international shipment.

Recently, feedback from our customers has informed us that updates to EGL and to our journal are not convenient, nor timely enough. We are now starting a few new methods to keep our customers updated on the status of their orders and the arrival of new items! We will still be continuing to update our journal and working towards creating a new webstore, but our first steps forward are currently in process.
The first method we are going to be using will be our new mailing list!

The programming/coding is still in the final stages to make sure it's bug free, but the new database will work so that you can check the status of your order without having to request it through e-mail. You will be given an order number with your invoice, and will be able to use it to track the progress of your order through our site!

We have good news for people waiting on their shoes from Secret Shop! The Tea Party shoes recently arrived at our warehouse and will be sent out shortly. We have sent invoices to all people who pre-ordered for shipping.
